1. Litigation

As per provisions contained in the Advocates Act, 1961, one needs to enroll with the State Bar Council and Bar Council of India is order to practice law as an advocate in the court of law. The law graduates After clearing the All India Bar Examination ( AIBE ) gets the Certificate of Practice ( COP ) which authorises them to start their career in Litigation.

Law graduates are appointed as Income Tax and Sales Tax Officers, Legal Advisor, Judicial Members in various Appellate Tribunals, Assistant Public Prosecutors, Members of Law Commission, Attorney General of India. To conduct the Legal proceeding, law graduates are also recruited through Judges Advocate General ( JAG ) for Indian Army.

4. Academics

Law post graduates who have a flairs for teaching, may , after qualifying National Eligibility Test ( Net ) or State Eligibility Test ( SET ) may become Assistant Professors and start with their profession journey as an Academician.

5. Legal Journalism

This is another challenging career option for a law graduate having flair for writing and reading. The various newspapers of National and International repute are extensively dealing with legal issues of country and state on a day to day basic through publishing various Articles. Precedents of courts, opinion of Expert etc. A law graduate can contribute immensely in presenting these issues amongst masses through Newspapers, Magazines, Blogs etc. and can act as a torch bearer for the social at large.

6. Law Firm

These firms provide the opportunity to work on a wide range of problems that may not be restricted to a particular area of the law. Benefits associated , include a very high salary; large, diverse client base; extensive firm resources; luxurious offices, global prospective, prestige and networking opportunities.

7. Law Researcher

A law graduate with a good flair for research is best suited for this job. This various High courts of India and the Supreme court of India recruits Law Research in order to assist the Hon’ble Judges in Judgment writing, case briefing, case analysis etc. The remuneration which this career provides is attractive and the experience gained by working with Hon’ble Judges will always enhance the profile of individual as it provides an extra edge over others.

8. In–House–Counsel

Due to the modern trend of business world contract drafting is flourishing all over in each and every industry. Keeping this in mind now a days almost each and every company who can readily draft their agreements, contracts, Memorandum of Understanding, Petitions, Replies to legal notices etc. The job profile of an In – house Counsel is very Challenging and demands a lot of hard work but at the same time the handsome monetary benefits is making it hot cake profession in the modern Legal world.

9. Legal Advisor with NGO

In the modern welfare state the Non Government organization are playing a pivotal role in bringing the burning g issues to the courts by filing the various Public Interest Litigation (PIL). The role and responsibilities of NGO’S have increased manifold and now they are equally keeping a track of law and order in the society and addressing the problems of the masses to judiciary at proper forum through proper mechanism. Due to the extended role of NGO’S keep their legal department equipped with Lawyers who are readily available to advise them on complex legal and social issues and provide the best possible protection to the victims within the ambit of our legal Framework.

10. Judiciary

Witnessing the number of pending cases in the Indian courts a noble step taken by the Government of India was to abate with the requirement of three years mandatory court practice of a fresh law graduate or post graduate, for becoming a judge. The removal of the restriction of 3 years of court practice has made Judiciary as the first choice of career options amongst law students and graduates.

With the passage of time the role of private players in the CNG industry is increasing and many nee private players are emerging in this field. The “GO Green” initiative of the Government of India is being implemented by supporting the private players in the field of compressed Natural Gas ( CNG ). There are plethora of rules and regulation, compliances, Acts which are to be taken care in the field of CNG Industry. The apex body governing the industry is petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).
